The start of a new series in the Acorn line by Scholastic。Ace works hard to put her car together for the race。 Readers see each step of the process in simple to follow sentences。 On race day， we see the triumphs and challenges involved。Terrific for lower elementary readers who like plenty of action。

The text is fine， but I am absolutely in the pocket for illustrator Kaylani Juanita。 She is SO TALENTED！！ She elevates everything she works on！
